Poncho

Poncho is a 3 year old Meyer's parrot who came into Parrot Haven when his owner, a dear friend of mine was no longer able to care for him. Poncho has been DNA sexed and is a male. He gives a great wolf whistle and says "What's Up." He's very friendly and loves hanging out on shoulders. Poncho will be going to his new home in North Carolina in a few days. One of the NY members will be traveling to Virginia, and has agreed to transport Poncho, who will be picked up from there. What a long way to go, but I have been in very close contact with this member, who has been anxiously awaiting for just the right bird. And finally he arrived. Lisha is so happy and can't wait to meet Poncho.

Update 6/3/02

Poncho is adjusting extremely well in his new home after a 14 hour trip. What a distance to go, but Alisha is happy to have him. Poncho's Dad recently passed away and I know he was happy that Poncho found a good home.
