When you are dropping your birds at Parrot Haven,
- PLEASE MAKE SURE THE CAGE IS AS CLEAN AS YOU WOULD EXPECT IT TO BE IF YOU WERE RECIEVING AN ADOPTIVE BIRD.
Many drop off filthy, rusted cages, which I am not able to use and they go promptly into the garbage. Then I have to either spend an hour scrubbing the cage clean, repaint, or purchase another cage that is decent and comfortable for the bird.
- PLEASE REMEMBER TO MAKE A NICE TAX DEDUCTIBLE DONATION WHEN YOU DROP OFF YOUR BIRD.
Remember, it's another bird that needs to be cared for and cleaned up after No. volunteer receives a salary and it does take about 4 hours a day to feed and clean the birds. Your bird.
- WHILE I DON'T MIND TAKING A BIRD IN THAT NEEDS A HOME, I WOULD APPRECIATE IT IF YOU WOULD CONTRIBUTE SOMETHING TOWARDS THE FOOD, VET, TOY OR HOUSING EXPENSES INCURRED TO HELP KEEP PARROT HAVEN UP AND RUNNING.
Thank you for your consideration. Many thanks to those who remember the birds with their end of year tax donations. Especially PetCo, Richard & Andrew King of King's Cages and Dr. Leonard & Mrs. Kleiman
